I was the voice talent/announcer/commentator at my first cyclocross event today. Thanks to John Klish and MAD Racing. It was a lot of fun! I got to meet a lot of new people, support this first-time event, and even take a pre-ride of the course (something I feel is very important for an announcer: know the course!).

It was very challenging and I was glad I was riding on my mountain  bike! Had I been on a traditional Cross bike I would have been running a lot (not a bad prospect, let’s be honest).

Powderhorn was beautiful. The beer was good. My Jeep was dead (I’d left the lights on) when I tried to drive home, and was helped out by a Powderhorn staff member. Powderhorn is pretty cool in general.
