“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”
I really wanted to do a hearty run this morning since I will be getting a lot of bike action in this weekend- and what’s better than Wedding Canyon up and Monument Canyon down? Answer: not much
Melinda was kind enough to join me. Can’t say I’m real good at not making my clients into friends. If I don’t like someone and have a certain rapport with them then why would I want to work with them? And why would they want to work with me? I’m happy to say that Melinda is both a client and a friend and a joy to share trail experiences with.
The run up was hard, as expected, and the run down was gorgeous- with the sunrise blinding us. For the first time maybe in a very long forever I can’t remember my knees actually hurt a little on the DH. I’m assuming this is due to my own holding back. Next time I’ll go my normal pace on the descent and we’ll see how it goes.
