Just Andy and I

“When people are ready to, they change. They never do it before then, and sometimes they die before they get around to it. You can’t make them change if they don’t want to, just like when they do want to, you can’t stop them.”

Recently Dave and I have been playing a little game. It’s called “Guess That Trail”. It’s pretty much just me sending him trail pictures and him attempting to guess which trail I’m on. He’s actually pretty fantastic at it.

So today since he was in Glenwood, I took total advantage of this opportunity to attempt to induce some jealousy in the man. I rode Andy’s.

You have to understand that this trail is crazy hard. It’s hard to get to, it’s hard to ride. But it is worth it in a thousand ways. The terrain is so varied, so beautiful, so vast that it is worth the journey. I’ve ridden it both ways- and it’s hard. Hard. Did I mention it is hard? Going up it one day I found splatters of blood along the trail. I’ve heard of search and rescue calls going out for cyclists who have fallen off this trail.

Dave and I did a fair amount of work on it before the Off-Road event last year. We hiked it in the snow. And it’s still awesome. I could go on and on…but I’ll stop. I rode it. It was fantastic.
