“The soul is healed by being with children.”
― Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Honestly, I had a great time in Moab, but I can’t remember the last time I missed my children so much. They are really wonderful little people, and I adore them. Some days I am convinced they are my soul purpose for living.

Well today Dave and I were able to take all our kids out to the Mica Mines trail. It was incredibly fun. The wash was filled with ice and we must have spent 2/3 of the time of the hike just sliding on it, appreciating the way it flows, freezes, thaws, and envelops ice into it. The kids will all be sore tomorrow, if not from the exercise and many falls, from all the smiling and laughing. Trinity and Claire I think had the most fun. Except for Piedra and Yampa of course. Those girls always have a ball when we’re out on the trail.

All the kids were tough, and finished strong. This is my joy.
