“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
― André Gide
“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
I’ll keep the discussion short today- but I got two trails in. The first, I took the kids up to Old Kiln trail to play and explore, maybe finding an option for how to connect it to the Ribbon. There are some issues and I think I need more time to check out the area, but I’m sure it can be done.
The view from up there is so cool. You can see the San Juans if you know where to look.
When Dennis got home he really wanted to go for a ride. With me. For some reason, I don’t know. So we did.
We ended up doing a short, unusual loop. Up Pet-e-kes, then cut over to Moto, up Lemon Squeezer, down Tab to High Noon, then over to Eagle’s Tail. So fun!
I got some sweet pics of Dennis.
