Same Trail, Different Day

“Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.”
― Mahatma Gandhi

It rained last night. Big, strong, male rain.

So Sara and I decided we would ride Kokopelli. I know, I know, I just did it yesterday. But it’s some fantastic riding out there! And this morning everything was fresh from the rain, and the trails were hero dirt.

It allowed me to make some very accurate comparison on how the flora alters over just a single day.  It was far greener out. It was colder, thanks to the wind, too. The highlights of the ride were: 1. Riding with Sara, and 2. The waterfalls.

Yes. Waterfalls. Little trickly ones that you just don’t see out here. But there they were. On Steves one was so impressive we got off to look. The trail follows the rim, so we looked down into the crevasse and were surprised to see it was almost a slot-canyon- delicately carved and amazing to behold.

Another fantastic day out on the bike.
